Diamond processing technology provider Sarine Technologies Ltd announced the opening of the Sarine Technology Laboratory, the first in the company's network of advanced, automated gemological labs, which will initially offer services in Ramat Gan, Israel, commencing in February.
Services will include automated grading of a polished diamond's clarity and colour, based on what Sarine calls its breakthrough artificial intelligence-based technologies. The lab will offer diamond authentication (simulant, natural or synthetic, treated) and 4Cs grading, all using the latest state-of-the-art technology.
The automated grading information provided by Sarine Labs will be integrated into the Sarine Profile digital diamond report. The services in Israel will be followed by the opening of a lab in India, planned for May.
Sarine CEO David Block said, “Sarine Profile reports combine the most accurate and objective grading with the world's most exciting diamond experience, all based on our breakthrough technologies. This is the beginning of a revolution in diamond grading. In the next several years, we will witness a major shift in how diamonds are graded, and in the way diamonds are presented to the consumer, which will enable diamond products to better compete in the luxury goods market."
