The three-day India, SAARC and Middle East Buyer-Seller Meet organised by the Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) kicked off in Chennai on Sunday. The event features one-on-one meetings between 31 participating Indian jewellery manufacturers and 78 buyers from all over the world over the first two days and an open exhibition on the third.
GJEPC Chairman Pramod Agrawal commented that the event is an effort to further improve the Indian industry’s trade relationships and business. “Indian manufacturers have been investing in technology and manpower to create jewellery that is being sold across international markets,” the GJEPC Chairman said.
The event is one of many by the GJEPC, that integrates and focusses the otherwise scattered promotion and sales efforts of the various segments of the Indian gem and jewellery export production industry.
